Rooted After Birth

A Postpartum Healing Circle for Mamas

The first year after birth is one of the hardest transitions a woman will ever move through. You do not have to move through it alone. This is a free drop-in circle created for Black mothers, where rest is welcome, honesty is safe, and community is real.

  • Every Monday & Thursday

  • First year postpartum welcome

  • Babies in arms welcome

Why This Space Matters

Early Motherhood Is Beautiful.
It Is Also Exhausting.

The pressure to bounce back, to be grateful, to hold everyone together while quietly falling apart. It is real, and it is unfair. Rooted After Birth was created to hold space for the truth of postpartum life, not the version the world expects you to perform.

Whether you are 6 weeks in or 6 months out, whether your birth went the way you planned or left you with grief you are still processing, whether you feel joy or numbness or both at once, you are welcome here exactly as you are. Baby in arms or not. Camera on or off.

"Because postpartum does not come with a manual."

Not as a clinical program. Not as a class, just a community rooted in healing, honesty, and sisterhood, where you can show up exactly as you are and receive the support you actually deserve.

What Happens When You Join the Circle

  • Two simplified human figures with a speech bubble above them indicating conversation.

    Real Talk About Postpartum Life

The joys and the hard parts. The love and the grief. The exhaustion that does not go away. This is not a highlight reel and you do not have to pretend it is.

  • Icon of a computer monitor with a person and a speech bubble indicating communication or online chat.

Space to Be Heard and Affirmed

A room of women who understand the specific weight of Black motherhood. No explaining required. No performance expected.

  • A gear with a hand pointing at it, connected to three human icons via lines, representing process automation or workflow management.

Tools for Rest, Mental Health, and Identity

Practical strategies you can use this week: grounding practices, boundary tools, ways to ask for help, and techniques for protecting your mental health as a new mother.

  • An icon of a hand holding three connected human figures, symbolizing community or support.

Support for Navigating the Fourth Trimester

From body changes to sleepless nights to shifting relationships, each session gives you language and tools to move through what no one fully prepared you for.

  • Line drawing of two people giving a high five with three lines indicating excitement or celebration.

    Community That Holds You

A circle of mamas who get it without explanation. Real connection happens here because everyone in the room is living a version of the same season.

  • Two simple cartoon figures, one handing a heart to the other.

    Weekly Giveaways

One participant is selected each session to receive a digital gift card. A small way to bring some joy into your journey.
