Asia Williams

Associate Clinical Social Worker

I’m really glad you found your way here. Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed but unsure how to explain why. On the outside, life might look fine. On the inside, you may feel constantly tense, emotionally drained, or disconnected from yourself. You might overthink everything, replay conversations, or feel pressure to keep it together even when you are exhausted.

Meet Asia

Asia provides virtual therapy to clients across California and is physically based in San Bernardino County, serving the Inland Empire.

Hi, I’m Asia, an Associate Clinical Social Worker. If you are living with anxiety, you might notice racing thoughts, difficulty relaxing, trouble sleeping, or a constant sense that something is about to go wrong. With depression, it can feel harder to get motivated, enjoy things you once loved, or feel connected to yourself and others. Burnout often shows up as emotional numbness, irritability, chronic exhaustion, or feeling like there is no space to rest without guilt.

Relationship stress can look like difficulty communicating your needs, feeling misunderstood, repeating the same arguments, or losing yourself while trying to keep others happy. Identity shifts may show up as questioning who you are, what you want, or whether the life you are living still fits. Many people I work with feel pressure to be the strong one, the reliable one, or the person who holds everything together, even when it is costing them their peace.

In therapy, we slow things down and make sense of what is happening beneath the surface. We look at how your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and past experiences shape the way you respond to stress and challenges in your life.

I use tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you recognize and shift unhelpful thought patterns that can fuel anxiety, self-doubt, and emotional overwhelm. I also draw from Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), which focuses on how your relationships, communication patterns, and life transitions impact your mood and sense of self. This can be especially helpful if you are navigating relationship stress, grief, role changes, or feeling disconnected from others.

I incorporate Motivational Interviewing to support change at a pace that feels respectful, realistic, and aligned with your values, especially when you feel stuck or unsure about next steps.

Practical tools are a big part of our work together. This can include learning how to set clear and healthy boundaries without guilt, recognizing when your nervous system is overwhelmed and how to calm it, and rebuilding self-trust so you can make decisions without constant second-guessing. We might work on communication skills, coping strategies for stress and emotional overload, or ways to reconnect with your needs and identity.

I am LGBTQIA-affirming and work with clients across the gender and sexuality spectrum. I support individuals who are exploring identity, healing from relational wounds, and learning how to live more authentically and unapologetically. Therapy with me is a space where you do not have to explain or defend who you are.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded. I will meet you where you are, while helping you build clarity, confidence, and emotional balance over time. Therapy is not about fixing you. It is about understanding yourself and creating space to breathe again.

I am supervised by Breea Wainwright, LMFT, PMH-C, our Clinical Director, who provides ongoing clinical oversight to ensure thoughtful, ethical, and high-quality care.

We Might Be a Good Fit If…

  • You often feel overwhelmed but struggle to explain why. You may look like you are managing on the outside, while inside you feel anxious, emotionally tired, or disconnected from yourself.

  • You find yourself overthinking, replaying conversations, or constantly questioning your decisions. You may feel pressure to get things right, avoid disappointing others, or hold everything together even when you are exhausted.

  • Anxiety shows up as racing thoughts, restlessness, irritability, or difficulty relaxing. Or if depression feels like low motivation, emotional heaviness, numbness, or feeling disconnected from things you once enjoyed.

  • Relationship stress leaves you feeling misunderstood, unheard, or stuck in the same patterns. You may struggle with setting boundaries, expressing your needs, or staying connected to yourself in relationships.

  • You are going through an identity shift and questioning who you are, what you want, or whether the life you are living still fits. This may include exploration around gender, sexuality, values, or personal direction.

  • You are looking for therapy that is supportive, honest, and practical. You want tools you can actually use, not just insight. You want a space where you can slow down, feel safe, and build trust in yourself again.

How This Works

How It Works – Asia Williams
Step 01
Schedule a Free Consultation
You'll start by scheduling a 15-minute consultation using Asia's appointment link. This is a low-pressure conversation where you can ask questions, share what's bringing you to therapy, and get a feel for whether working together feels like a good fit. There is no expectation to have everything figured out — this time is simply about connection and clarity.
Step 02
Decide If We're Aligned
After the consultation, if it feels like a good fit for both of us, we'll move forward together. If not, Asia can help guide you toward other options that may better meet your needs. Feeling comfortable and supported matters.
Step 03
Your First Session (Intake Appointment)
Your first full session is called an intake. This is where we take time to understand you more fully. We'll talk about what's been happening in your life, what you're struggling with, what you've already tried, and what you're hoping therapy can support. We'll also review important background information at a pace that feels manageable, not overwhelming.
Step 04
Set Goals and a Rhythm That Works for You
Together, we'll identify goals that feel meaningful and realistic. We'll decide how often to meet — whether that's weekly or biweekly — and choose a consistent day and time that fits your schedule. Calendar invites will be set up so sessions feel easy to keep track of.
Step 05
Ongoing Therapy and Support
As therapy continues, sessions will focus on helping you better understand yourself, navigate stress and relationships, and build practical tools you can use outside of sessions. Goals can evolve over time, and we'll regularly check in to make sure therapy is supporting what you need most.

Investment and Payment Options

I believe therapy should feel accessible, not intimidating. Being clear about cost is part of creating safety and trust from the start.

I currently accept Anthem, Optum, Aetna, and Cigna insurance plans. If you plan to use insurance, we will verify coverage before your first full session so there are no surprises.

For clients who prefer private pay, my rate is $150 per session.

I also offer sliding scale sessions because everyone’s financial reality is different. Sliding scale means you pay what you can reasonably afford on a weekly basis, with a minimum rate of $50 per session. If cost is a concern, we can talk openly about this during your consultation and figure out an option that feels sustainable.

My goal is to support you in a way that works for your life, not adds more stress. You are always welcome to ask questions about payment, insurance, or options during our consultation.
